Back from Idaho

We had a rough clinic. I lost my mind and completely forgot how to handle my dogs. Result was not pretty. Poor Taz.

Aw, I am sorry. I am sure there had to be some positive stuff? Take heart, chicky, we all have our bad days, but you know what? It's all worth it. A well known trialist said to me that my dog ought to make me a better trainer, to that I replied "well, based on that, I am ready for the International!"

Did you get some pics? You seriously need to come out my way and work with our group. Maybe give me your dog, and I give you my dog and then we see just how our dogs are just what we need :)

Thanks Julie. There was lots of positive stuff, and I learned a lot. I learned a bit about Taz, and I definitely think he improved in many ways, but I learned much more about myself and my own handling. It was eye opening for me. I think I'll be thinking about this clinic for a long, long time...

I'm so sorry the clinic didn't go well for you, but you must have come away with something positive. These 2 men are very great trainers and hopefully you took tons of notes and knowledge back with you. I hope you had a little fun and didn't come home disappointed and ready to give up. Been there done that. But it's so addictive, you HAVE to go on. You have a couple of great dogs there!

I came back with a lot that was positive--and I actually had a lot of fun. And, um, no I'm not going to give up (LOL!). But I learned some hard truths about my handling faults, and that is really priceless information--but can be a little rough in the moment (grin).
